About MANA
Who We Are
The Martin Acres Neighborhood Association (MANA) represents the residents of Martin Acres, a 1950's era subdivision in the southern part of Boulder, Colorado. Bounded by US Highway 36, Table Mesa Blvd. and Broadway (see the map), the neighborhood consists of about 1,300 single-family homes and 3 apartment complexes.
What We Do
Since its founding in 1977, and by charter held in its bylaws, MANA has been dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of life for all residents in the neighborhood. These efforts take many forms:
- producing and distributing a semi-monthly newsletter, the VOICE
- organizing issues-related and candidate forums
- maintaining contact with city and county service providers
- participating in public forums and meetings
- representing the neighborhood to Boulder City Council
- representing Martin Acres to Boulder Valley Board of Education
- organizing social events
- organizing and funding beautification efforts
Officers and Committee Chairs
MANA is managed by a steering committee elected at an annual meeting on the first Monday in March, for a year long term of office. The outgoing committee presents a slate of volunteers recruited from the neighborhood population and nominations (including self-nominations) are taken from the floor.
The Steering Committee holds open meetings according to a schedule set in April. Contact the President or Secretary for the current meeting schedule. Meetings usually happen at 7:00 PM at the South Broadway Church of the Nazarene, 300 South Broadway, on the east side of the street, between Dartmouth and Eastman (map).
You can contact MANA through any of the officers, or via the email list.
